"Loved this growing up in the Midwest! Ordered seeds this Spring and it grew great and tasted even better. Already on the list for next season."

SARAH G. (5/5)

The flavor and quality are

"The flavor and quality are great but germination this year was awful. I don’t know if I even got 10% germination whereas a different variety of corn that I planted is probably closer to 90% success! It was too late to start more corn so I decided to reuse that space for some other plantings. Pretty disappointed this year"

Illini Xtra sweet brand sweet corn

"We've ok planted illini Xtra sweet corn for more than 30 years. Although, there are varieties out there that boast better yields, Round up Ready, and better pest resistance, NONE can beat it for a favorite of customers pallettes. A good yielder, the biggest challenge will be keeping deer and coons out. Lol I suggest buying a good solar electric fencer, regular applications of Malathion (deer and coons hate it), or l by a small (2-3) pack of terriers that don't become too needy, and don't mind temporary relocation to the Sweet corn patch. Once they associate the corn patch with the opportunity to fight and kill everything from rodents to coons, to chasing deer, you won't be able to keep them away from the patch! Lol Great growing! Bountiful Seeds Gave Lovely Plants

"We planted just 40 seeds in a personal garden for two, about 25 miles southeast of St Paul, Minn. All developed sturdy stalks with ears just forming now. So far so good for a memorable addition of sweet corn to our September clambake."

Dale P. (5/5)

The best corn

"You will not find a better tasting corn. Germination is almost 100 percent. I would never buy another type of corn to plant."
