This early maturing, precocious pumpkin has an attractive round shape, deep orange color, and nice ribbing. The vines offer good yields and intermediate resistance to Powdery Mildew. Orange Sunrise is a great choice for short season or gap plantings and offers harvest date flexibility.

Good choice

"Plants grew quickly and pumpkins are large without any extra watering. Looking good so far."

Scott S. (5/5)

Good for farmers who need an early crop.

"We have planted these for years in Central WI. Used to love them more but as the years go on I feel they get more of an inconsistent shape. However, they have withstood many weather patterns and are alway ready when we need them early in the season, and yield is good. We will continue to plant, just fewer than we used to. They are a nice sized small carving shape."

Grace (4/5)

Fall fun!

"The pumpkins are blooming. I am excited to see what appears. All seeds germinated and the bees are loving the big blossoms. Thank you."

"Very easy to grow. Consistent size . Keeps nicely"

MDS S. (5/5)

Great yield

"Orange Sunrise is my go to for medium to large pumpkins. 6-7 per plant and keep producing into fall. If only our growing season was longer here in South Central Minnesota yield would be higher! This is my second year with same seed packet."

Gloria (5/5)

Great success rate with germination.

"Great success rate with germination. Hopefully produce well once they get going."

Matthew D. (4/5)

Excellent company to purchase seeds

"Excellent company to purchase seeds from!"

Lori R. (5/5)

Poor year for pumpkins

"Unfortunately after more than 45 days, we have lots of blossoms but no fruit forming. It looks doubtful we'll get much of a crop by October."

Q&A

Spacing for pumpkin orange sunrise? On package, it states 36 x 0.
Hi Jill, The 36-inch spacing on your Orange Sunrise packet is correct. Best practice is in rows, sow seeds 10 to 12 inches apart. Once seedlings are 2 to 3 inches tall and have set their true leaves, thin to one plant every 36 inches. This guarantees that you will not have to replant due to lack of germination and allows you to select the healthiest plants.
