It is a great pumpkin.

"It is a great pumpkin. I like the way they grew, more in Bush form than vine. We had every seed germinate and the really pumpkined. Loved them."

We love Specter!

"It's not a true white, but few pumpkins are and when we put them next to Grizzly Bears and Long Island Cheese and Autumn Crown, you have an absolutely beautiful display of Farm Chic (Fixer Upper Friendly!) colors... so we added pinks and corals and blues to the mix and folks loved it. I will sing Specter's praises as a wonderful upright to add to pumpkin displays and we love the off-white color, it's perfect... as long as you're not looking for "Polar Bear" white. (This year's picture is a better one, thank you!) We've also found that as white pumpkins continue ripening, the white fades somewhat but customers don't care. Also for weddings that want a true white, our brides have been spray painting the white pie pumpkins to get the true white they want for centerpieces. All doable!"

Q&A

My Specters grew very well, and I'm wondering if the flesh is edible? Thanks!
Hi Molly, Thanks for reaching out! This specific variety is bred for its ornamental purposes and while edible, is not bred for flavor. We do offer a wide variety of pumpkins, many of which are intended for consumption: www.harrisseeds.com/collections/edible-pumpkins-specialty-squash
