This striking blue kale offers vivid color in both the leaves and pink mid-rib veins. More winter hardy then regular lacinato, this variety will extend your season well into winter and supplement CSAs and markets.

Kale Dazzling Blue -- recommend

"* Seemed less troubled by Swede midge than other kales * Survived and eventually flourished in a very challenging gardening season (2023 in north central Vermont)"

Will Try Again

"Germination was good but once I planted in the garden, none survived. Only the Siberian varieties made it. I will try again as I have been wanting to try this one."

Q&A

Are you able to save the seeds on this?
Hello Gwen, thank you for contacting us. Yes, it is possible to save seed from this variety. In order for kale to produce seed it must be allowed to complete a full flower cycle. Depending on where you live that may happen in one year of growth. Some of the risk inherent in saving seed is that there are some diseases that are seed borne. It is very important that you do not save seed from diseased plants. This increases the likelihood of spreading disease in your garden. Thanks for the question!
