This is probably my favorite

"This is probably my favorite cucumber to grow! Direct sowing resulted in the germination of all the seeds. The fruit's small size makes it easy to handle, and it offers a great crunch. Furthermore, the taste is quite refreshing, making it a perfect snack option. Truly, this is a wonderful choice!"

Lots of seeds

"Grew pretty fast, didn't take to my trellis very well. The cucs themselves were disappointing, LOTS of seeds for such a small cucumber and didn't stay very crisp when pickled"

Q&A

I am considering growing a small snacking cucumber this year such as Mini-Me. The description says it grows particularly well in protected culture. I would need to grow the in the field on trellises with only a bit of sun protection if the summer is again blazing hot. Would you comment on the suitability of mini-me's for growing in the field? I will only have a couple other parthenocarpic varieties growing close by. thanks! -ron Denver, CO zone 5b
Hello! Thank you for reaching out! As long as your Denver soil temps are warm enough to get vigorous germination, you should have no issue growing these in the field. The description of "growing well in protected culture" is just to let hot house growers know that this particular variety is a good candidate for that as not all cucumbers can be grown in such conditions. But these will do well in the field as well as are absolutely delicious.
Seeds germinated and plant leaves are deep green and flourishing. There are many female blossoms with fruit. The fruit doesn't seem to develop. I am growing in an indoor tower garden, with nutrients. What am I missing that the fruit is not developing from the blossom stage?
Hello! Thank you for reaching out! Your female blossoms are not being pollinated. When pollination is incomplete, the female blossoms will drop their fruit and try again. For this reason, many cucurbits (pumpkins, cucumbers, squash, melons, etc) do not do well being grown to completion completely indoors. You will need to find self pollenating varieties or you will need to do extensive hand pollination. We hope this helps!
Will you be getting more of these seeds in before the planting season?
Hi Lisa, Thanks for your inquiry. We are not expecting more seed from our supplier until June. We apologize for any inconvenience.
12957-00-03-015 when will these seeds be back in stock?
Hi Dan, We are currently sold out and our supplier is also sold out. The next crop is expected in the spring of 2021. We apologize for the inconvenience.
