"I've had mine 8 years and they keep on kicking. They will take a lot of sliding of heavy flats and not even scratch. In my case, I slide the temp probe under the mat. It's just too big and stiff for the size flats i grow in 288-200 even 78's etc. I also up mu mats on top of a 1/2 in a piece of insulation to keep the mat from heating the table. Rusty Barnett"
