"WOW ive ordered from r2 before. this order was perfect, and over the top. hardly an empty cell at all, the impatiens were 288 plants in 288 cells. big, healthy, lots of roots, full flats completely undamaged. the begonia 'groovy' have flower buds. on one inch tall plants. hilarious. if you have ever thot to order but hesitated, i have to tell you this is really great and it will blow your mind how high the quality is. the customer service i received from harris all the way thru has been fantastic."

wholly crapoly i just got 1500 plugs

"i have received raker roberta (r2) product in the past, so this is no surprise really, but the coordination between harris seed and r2 was amazing, and precise, and perfect in every way. i ordered what i wanted, it was seeded and grown, and shipped, and here i have 1000 tiny begonia plugs (some with flower buds) and 500 angelonia at almost one inch tall ready for cell packs. they arrived moist, well packaged, and in the signature r2 box. this is a tremendous value for those seeking hard to germinate or slow to develop seedlings, like begonia, or expensive seed like angelonia. i will be placing another order for fall and another for next spring. since they can allow one flat at an extra shipping charge, i suggest everyone who buys seed consider having r2 plant and grow it for you and provide the seedlings ready to go on your schedule. this is a highly overlooked service. in the past i have only been able to purchase inventory stock from r2. being able to have what i want, how many i want, and when i want it, well, what is not to like or love. this was a win win win. a flat of 505 tiny plants is a sight to behold, if you are a gardener or plant lover. consider that the plug of angelonia was 38 cents and the seed is sometimes 25 cents. i have grown begonia from seed that was ready THE FOLLOWING YEAR. they are soooooooooo slow. so r2 grew the plugs in 6 weeks. wow, do i feel dumb. all these plugs have been moved to 806 cell pack, and will be ready in a month for my garden. harris seed is one of very few offering non wholesale tax exempt plug plants and i suggest you take advantage before the industry blocks this opportunity."

Q&A

Is it to late to plant sunflowers directly in ground. Love sunflowers but been in hospital and not able to plant for a couple weeks. Live in Maine so not sure about season. Normally would have started in house in May but been very sick with infections and amputation,I love growing sunflowers are going to grow other things like that this year I just stick with the sunflowers I’ve been sick for so long I put together an order but then said I better make sure I will ship and how long it will take to get here because I don’t know if I have enough time thanks Scott McGraw 31 Legrow Rd., Gray ME 04039

We have a useful chart that shows days to maturity to help you choose varieties that will bloom in Maine prior to your first frost date; link included below.
