Duke blueberry plants produce a medium-to-large light blue berry that is very firm, mildly tart in flavor, and retains its fresh quality longer than most other varieties. Although it blooms late, it ripens early. Duke is a heavy, consistent producer featuring branches with dense foliage that droop to the ground when laden with fruit. Attractive yellow-orange foliage in the fall is an additional benefit. Northern Highbush, 4 to 6', stocky, upright habit. Large savory, sweet tasting fruit. Fruits early season. Hardiness zones 5-7.
